** Please scroll down for the latest Press Releases on the Museum’s present situation**

FROM SATURDAY 28TH MARCH THE MUSEUM WILL BE OPEN ON SATURDAYS AND TUESDAYS BETWEEN 10AM AND 2PM (SUBJECT TO VOLUNTEER AVAILABILITY).

YOU CAN ALSO SUPPORT US BY – FOR EXAMPLE – BOOKING A GROUP VISIT, MAKING AN APPOINTMENT WITH AN ARCHIVIST, OR BY ATTENDING ONE OF OUR EVENTS. THESE ARE ADVERTISED IN THE LOCAL PRESS AND ON FACEBOOK AND INSTAGRAM.

PLEASE NOTE THAT WE ARE ENTIRELY VOLUNTEER-RUN, AND WHILE WE REALLY WELCOME EMAILS, PHONE MESSAGES, ETC, THERE MAY BE A DELAY BEFORE A VOLUNTEER CAN GET BACK TO YOU.

ROOM BOOKINGS AND LIBRARY / ARCHIVE VISITS

Although the Museum’s galleries are currently closed to the public, we are still keen to encourage room bookings (for groups or community events) and visits to the Library or the Collection/Archive from researchers.

These are very important sources of revenue for us.

If you are interested in making a room booking or have a query for our Collections and Archive Team, please email manager@museumofcarpet.org.uk or phone 01562 69028 and a volunteer will get back to you as soon as possible (note that we are entirely volunteer-run).

Please follow us on Facebook and Instagram as we bring you some of the treasures of the Museum in digital form during this period of closure.

Further updates and Press Releases on the future of the Museum are below:

Two statements/press releases from the Chair of the Board of Trustees regarding the future of the Museum. Thank you.

The 2025 Kidderminster Heritage Calendar

The Friends of the Museum of Carpet produced a wonderful Kidderminster Heritage Calendar for 2025. The calendar features paintings of Kidderminster over the years by local artists such as Roger Sullivan, John Mellor, Betty Park and John Instance among others.

We are an independent museum, with no regular local or central government funding and we need help to cover rising costs. For more information, visit the Donate tab on our website.

Your support is greatly appreciated.
